Remaining Calm In The Midst of Chaos
This past week has had most of us reeling with grief and disbelief. I am fine with my feelings and have decided to let me have that time. I had an appointment in PA the day after the elections results and on the way back I stopped by the Delaware Canal park. There are several in my area, this one just happened to be on the way home, and I’ve been here many times.
I had my camera, and started to take deep breaths and walk. I looked around, listened, enjoying the colors of the trees around me. It was raining, very chilly, but my camera and lens were both weatherproof, so I wasn’t worried about that. What I needed was to think, so I started to NOT think. Instead I started to take pictures.
This is my therapy, being calm, and outdoors, it helped for a bit. I’m trying to figure out a lot of things right now, and this week didn’t help. But each day gets better and better.
I’m not telling anyone how they should feel, or that they should stop and deal with it. Find your way, but make it good for everyone.
